Dr. McDonald is a lifelong resident of Iowa City, growing up here, he attended Regina High School and the University of Iowa. He is heavily involved in post graduate education, having earned degrees and board certifications in four separate post graduate specialties (orthopedics, neurology, sports injuries and acupuncture). His experience and education are unsurpassed, and his commitment to his patients to provide the best care possible is exemplified by his pursuit of ongoing educational programs to remain at the forefront of his profession. He utilizes a 'no nonsense' approach to clinical care, recommending only the care and therapeutic modalities you need and want - not a 'one size fits all' prepackaged program. He will sit down and discuss your condition and if he feels he can help you, he will go right to work on your first visit, if not, he will do his best to point you in the direction he feels will best serve your needs.

Dr. McDonald's two sons Brady and Adam McDonald
Brady is Co-owner and Executive Chef of Basta Pizzeria Ristorante in downtown Iowa City and Adam is an architect currently working on a restoration project in France. Adam is the architect who designed our current office.
